While you check out your profile today, you’ll notice a prompt that states “Cover photos just got bigger” and asks you if you’d wish to update yours now.
Google has launched to roll out certain notable visual updated to Google+ profiles that brings:
Bigger Cover Photos:
The bigger cover photos now allow for 2120px by 1192px, and they display in 16×9 when fully expanded.
Fresh Look of the “About” Section:
The About tab now incorporates a fresh design that organizes all your different pieces of information into their own color-coded cards (People, Story, Basic Information, Work, Places, Links, etc.). As before, you could absolutely display certain fields with select circles and all of the new cards additionally feature prominent ‘edit’ links that make holding your profile updated a bit simpler and easier
A New Tab for Your Reviews:
A new tab for your Local reviews. Along with your pictures, +1’s and YouTube videos, there’s now a place for all your Local reviews. Feature your preferred restaurants, or hide the tab by settings — it’s totally in your hands.
Google+ Smoothly Updated The Hovercard:
Google, in fact, smoothly updated the hovercards that show up whenever you hover over a user’s avatar on the site. The new hover cards are also now noticeably bigger (as well as feature your cover image).
How You Can Tailor Your Hovercard Subtitle:
Setting up that custom text is simple!
- Go to your Profile page and click the “About” tab.
- Edit “Story” – Tagline, “Work” in that Employment details and Places
- Click “Save” that’s it.

Google said these changes are started out gradually, thus wait for a few hours for those who don’t see them on their profile so far.
